Hello FaeRetail Friends and Family! (Waving Excitedly!) As promised I am back to talk to you about a wonderful product that we will be adding to the shop shortly. Time frame wise is dependent on our ability to collect the item but we have promises made from the Fae involved that there will be plenty for inventory and more at the next molting.
I’m sure I have your curiosity! (Waggles eyebrows dramatically!) We are talking about Fairy Molting. You see Fairy Children at different stages of their life shed their wings to grow bigger wings to suit their body size. After all as they grow they need bigger wings to carry them. Fairy Children molt depending on the season in which they were born so there are multiple times in the year for the FaeRetail team to gather the shed wings. No worries to those out there concerned about the Fairy Childrens well being. We have gotten permission from the children themselves as well as the parents. After all after the wings have been shed the only use they hold is for sentimental purposes and most only want the first pair their Fairy Child sheds so they don’t need all the others cluttering up the house. That’s where we come in, the FaeRetail FaeTeam is able to collect the discarded wings and bring them back to the Mortal Realm for those who wish to have a taste of magic in their lives. So there you have it, the Fairy wings are ethically collected! No Fairys were harmed in the process! Matter of fact we have a signed contract with them stating that fact. As I have learned from the Mortal Realm, in business you have to have the agreements on paper or there will be problems.
Any way, let me explain a bit more about Fairy Molting in terms that you might understand. Its kind of like when you lose your baby teeth and grow your adult teeth. The only difference is Fairy Children lose their wings every time the wings become too small for their new size. So whenever they hit a growth spurt which generally coincides with the seasons, then they molt their wings. But after they have lost their little wings it doesn’t stop there. Its not like your teeth where you only have the baby set and the adult set. Fairy Children go through multiple sets but there are three main sizes: Child, Adolescent and Adult sized wings. Granted the later type they don’t lose, they keep those for the rest of their life, just like you keep your adult teeth. (Thoughtful face with hand on chin.) Though come to think of it, just like how you sometimes have to have your teeth pulled some Adult Fairys do lose their Adult wings, however that is very rare and usually has some interesting circumstances behind them, but essentially is not a natural way for their wings to be lost.
Now when the product will be posted there will be several options. Firstly there will be the Fairy Type because there are many different types of Fairies in the world and so all the different types of wings reflect that Fairy Type. I plan on making a post talking about all the different Fairy Types in the future so stay tuned! Then there will be the Size option: Child or Adolescent. Then lastly there is the Collection Type: Jar or Charm. This essentially means, are you getting several wings or just one wing. The Charm Type will be stylishly offered as something wearable and gradually over time we may offer different variants on the charm. But that is the general gist.
I am very excited to be bringing little pieces of Fae Realm to the Mortal Realm for people to experience and proud that this will be our first By Fae For Mortals product. We have many more in store for you all! Next Month I will be away in the Fae Realm working on this and other surprises for you all, so you will be hearing from Heather again.
