Magical Introduction
Hello there FaeRetail friends and family. The day has come! I want to start this off right by apologizing for the lateness of the recent blog post and promise that there will be two this month to make up for it. As you probably noticed things sound a little different. Well, that would be because this is Bittsy speaking to you. That’s right! You get to hear from FaeRetails: Fae Manager. Pause for dramatic effect.
So, that is part of the reason for the lateness of the post. As FaeRetails Owner and my friend Heather promised the next blog post, is my introduction, which is what this is. But I was caught up in the Fae World and could not be reached until now. I’d love to tell you about it but we are only allowed to give little windows into the relm of the Fae, can’t talk politics and what not.
Any way lets get this introduction rolling. My name is Bittsy Brownie and I am a Brownie. I know, a last name that is your Fae Species, “yawn”, that’s just how Heather came to refer to me when we first met. You probably have heard of Brownies or some of our other names: Borrower, Boggart, Gruagach, Brunaidh, or Broonie. We come from the Goblin family and are known as Hobgoblins or House Spirits. As house spirits we come out at night to help those who live in the home we are attached to with household chores and what not. Heather has told me to be fairly brief on details due to the fact that we are in the workings of getting a book about our meeting and my adventures made She just hasn’t found the right artist. Which she would hate this but if you are an artist interested in making a children’s book reach out and maybe your style is what she is looking for.
Anyway back to me. Heather and I met on accident. Us house spirits haven’t had a great go at it in these modern days and have resorted to wandering and finding attachments to people rather then houses. The Brownies of the Old World in Scottland have an easier go at it because the old houses are still there. But those that made the journey with their families to America now don’t necessarily have old family homes to take care of anymore. Or have to leave the old family due to issues with their home clan. Which was my case. I just so happened to be trying the appartment life, not an easy thing since people don’t stay for years. I had been watching Heather for some time because her creative energy was strong and I wanted to attach to someone long term rather then to the building. But I can’t get too much into the details as that would spoil the book so the short story is, we met because of drama in both our lives and we helped each other culminating in the relationship we have today. Though that home has changed quite a lot as she has moved very often since our first meeting. But we fulfill each others needs, I have a being to help and she is inspired by me and my world to create wonderful things.
I have been tasked with adding a Fae perspective to this journal as that is the inspiration for FaeRetail. So, I get to talk about details of some of the products that are coming out soon. I also will apparently be in charge of posts that give some insight into the Fae Friends that help at FaeRetail, which includes me. So be on the look out for a Brownie specific entry in the near future. I am so excited that we have gotten permission from the Fae Council, though as I said it is only windows, not an open door, and I can’t give any more details at the moment as I would get in trouble. Anyway, the next blog post will also be from me and I will talk about one of our new products that will be appearing soon. I am so glad to be apart of this journey and can’t wait to contribute more of my knowledge and help Heather with the growth of this business. I feel I have finally found a Modern Brownies Purpose.
